Here is a video that I have had to watch more than twice because of the tickling sarcasm. Whether you support the GLBT community or not, this one is a must see for everybody. It's not an LGBT issue, its a respect issue (plus a little passive aggression =) . This video made me suggest Ms. Addams even run for office. So if you like some sassy intellect and snark, you got it!
The American University of Beirut has come a long way. It was only in 1984 that former AUB president and political scientist Malcolm Kerr was assassinated near his office for not being aligned with the Muslim opposition during the civil war. Reminds me of the philosophical rant in The Waking Life where our zany old friend talks about the acceleration of revolutions within revolutions, including within the plane of technology. Fascinating.
